International students enrolled in any of the university’s direct-entry colleges are eligible for the International Excellence Awards, which are offered by the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. The University of Saskatchewan offers scholarships to students with among the highest academic records. Entries are currently being accepted for the academic year 2023–2024.

An “Act to establish and incorporate a University for the Province of Saskatchewan” was passed by the provincial legislature in 1907.
It established the provincial university on March 19, 1907 “for the purpose of providing facilities for higher education in all its branches and enabling all persons without regard to race, creed or religion to take the fullest advantage”.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Saskatchewan International Excellence Awards
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be international students (non-Canadian citizens paying differential tuition) entering any direct-entry college at the university.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievements evident in their high school or other academic credentials.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership abilities and be willing to abide by the rules and regulations governing the conduct of students at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time study programme for the next academic session at the university
How to Apply for University of Saskatchewan International Excellence Awards
Applicants are first to apply online for undergraduate admissions into the university. Afterwards, students offered admission will be automatically considered for the scholarship. Students must also ensure that they submit necessary supporting documents.
